You will have laughed, cried and even been mad at certain character's actions! It is all wrapped up in a truly gorgeous presentation with some excellent voice acting to bring the characters to life. There’s a second season (Steins Gate 0), following an alternate ending to the first season, written by the same writer but different director(s). By the end of the story during your first playthrough, you will have been taken through every inch of the emotional spectrum. I think focusing on the main cast was important for the plot. Despite having such limited cast, it’s still kept from getting boring and repetitive. It is the way that Steins Gate is written that really wins you over. I don’t watch a lot of anime but this, Stein’s Gate, is one of the greatest stories I’ve ever seen. They soon find themselves thrust into dealing with an organization called SERN and a man who claims to come from a messed-up future! It is wonderful stuff and it will have you guessing the whole time. However, their reunion is cut short when Okabe begins to experience recurring flashes of other timelines as the consequences of his time traveling start to manifest.
